Mallika Sherawat rejoins co-star Rahul Bose and prepares for another mental comedy in Maan Gaye Mughall-e-Azam. A down on the luck theatre company—with acting capabilities no more than that of goats—is the front for a RAW agent (Rahul Bose) to conduct covert activities.
The agent of RAW is on a mission to save the planet and he needs the help of the theatre company to help him succeed in the mission. Sounds tried and tested, but Mallika Sherawat`s brand of comedy and Rahul Bose`s poker face could save the day!
The theatre troupe finds out that an underworld don is planning a bomb attack in the country. A funny and thrilling roller-coaster ride begins when the group designs `a deadly game plan` and gets into the act to save the entire city.
However, the only thing this theatre group can carry out effectively is a rendition of K Asif`s film Mughal-e-Azam. Now that`s where the cast of the film truly shine. Paresh Rawal, Kay Kay Menon and Zakir Hussain will quite possibly give it their wonderful best and we can all look forward to a hilarious outing.
Paresh Rawal plays Mallika Sherawat`s husband. But she is in the sights of Rahul Bose who aims to snatch her from right under her husband`s nose. All summed up, the sub plots seem to blend in without troubling the main storyline and is stitched well at the seams.
Written and directed by Sanjay Chhel, Maan Gaye Mughall-e-Azam is looking worth the money put in. Let`s hope it works just as well on screen as it does on paper!
