Karan Johar, the famous multitalented B-Town personality who writes, directs and produces his trademark ‘K’ initialled movies, has finally decided to liberate himself from the 'K' factor in his upcoming flick 'Dostana'.
Karan’s first attempt to do away with the 'K' was when he wrote the story of 'My Name is Khan', although we do see that he still retains the alphabet, albeit in the middle. ' 'Dostana' would be his first attempt to do away with it completely.
The movie is directed by Tarun Mansukhani, who is also the director of animation ‘Kuchi Kuchi Hota He’. 'Dostana' star-cast consists of Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Bobby Deol and Priyanka Chopra.
The other specialty of this movie is that it is the first Bollywood flick to have been filmed entirely in the erotically-famous Miami. The shooting, is complete save for a song sequence on Abhishek. Grapevine has it, that this ‘K – less’ title is the effect of his dear friend Shah Rukh Khan, who wants Karan to get over his ‘K’ mania.
The story is about two friends (Bobby Deol and John Abraham) who fall in love with each other in due course of time and indulge in a 'gay' relationship. There is absolutely no hint at any speculations of the past about the 'link up' between SRK and Karan, but we wonder if the concept is the effect of the special ‘Dosti’!
